Lobi Stars Visit FMC Makurdi, Donate to Patients Ahead of NNL Second Stanza

Lobi Stars Football Club on Monday paid a compassionate visit to the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, where they made cash donations to patients across several wards of the hospital.

The management, staff and players carried out the outreach shortly after their training session, with Technical Director Harry Yachi leading the delegation.

Yachi said the visit was aimed at supporting patients facing difficult circumstances while also seeking prayers for divine favour as the club prepares for the second stanza of the Nigeria National League campaign.

The delegation was received by the Head of Clinical Services, Dr Augustine Azuka, who represented the Chief Medical Director, Dr Joseph Kortor.

Dr Azuka thanked the club for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. He said the donations would provide relief to patients and offered prayers for the team’s continued progress and success.

Head Coach John Onuh led the visit to the Postnatal Ward, Gynaecological Emergency Unit and Emergency Paediatric Unit, alongside members of the management, staff and players.

Patients and hospital staff applauded the initiative and prayed for the prosperity of the club.

The visit highlighted Lobi Stars’ commitment to social responsibility and community engagement beyond football.
