NWFL Opens Mid-Season Transfer Window Ahead of Second Round

The Nigeria Women Football League has announced the opening of its Premiership mid-season transfer window, which will run from 25 February to 4 March, as clubs prepare for the decisive second round of the 2025/26 season.

The window offers teams a brief but important opportunity to strengthen their squads following the conclusion of the first round on Matchday Nine.

At the halfway stage, Bayelsa Queens FC lead Group A, while FC Robo Queens sit top of Group B after nine rounds of action.

With only the top three teams in each group advancing to the Super Six and the bottom four sides set to be relegated at the end of the regular season, competition remains tight across both groups.

The second round of fixtures will resume on 11 March, with title hopefuls aiming to consolidate their positions and chasing teams expected to be active in the transfer market as they push for Super Six qualification.
