Seven and Counting: Agagbe Delighted as Barau Extend Unbeaten Run

Barau FC head coach Eugene Agagbe has praised his players after their goalless draw against Warri Wolves in a Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 27 fixture on Saturday.

The encounter at the Southern Delta State University Stadium in Ozoro ended 0-0, with both sides unable to find a breakthrough.

Barau created several chances through Uche Moses, Joseph Atule and Muhammad Umar, but the hosts’ goalkeeper produced a series of fine saves to deny the visitors.

The result extends Barau’s unbeaten run to seven matches in the second stanza of the NPFL season.

Speaking after the match, Agagbe expressed satisfaction with his side’s consistency.

“It’s not easy to go seven matches unbeaten in the NPFL. We thank God for the result. Our focus has now shifted to Rivers United because we are taking it one match at a time,” he told the club’s media team.

Barau remain 12th on the NPFL table with 34 points from 26 matches and have one outstanding fixture.

The team will next travel to Port Harcourt for a rescheduled Matchday 25 clash against Rivers United on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
