Awazie confident Enyimba will return to winning ways against Warri Wolves

Enyimba FC forward Ekene Awazie says the team is confident of returning to winning ways when they face Warri Wolves FC in Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League clash.

The People’s Elephant head into the fixture after back to back draws against Rivers United FC and Kun Khalifat FC in the league.

Enyimba’s last victory came against Bayelsa United FC on 1 February 2026.

Awazie, who scored Enyimba’s goal in the draw with Kun Khalifat, said the team will continue fighting for points despite their current position on the table.

The Aba side are currently 15th in the standings as they prepare for the trip to Warri Wolves.

Speaking to the club’s website, Awazie expressed confidence that the team will soon rediscover their winning form.

“Yeah, sure. That’s what they know Enyimba for. We never say die, we keep fighting,” he said.

“It’s just the mindset. If we put our minds together that we are going to get there, we’ll get there. We’ll get the points.

“It’s just the beginning. We’ll start getting it right.”
