Kanu Charges Enyimba Players To Show Champion Spirit Against Warri Wolves

Enyimba FC chairman Nwankwo Kanu has urged the players to show champion character ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 29 clash against Warri Wolves in Ozoro.

The former Super Eagles captain visited the team after their training session at the main bowl of the Southern Delta University Stadium, Ozoro. He addressed the squad alongside the club’s Sporting Director, Daniel Eke.

Kanu reminded the players of the responsibility that comes with representing Enyimba and challenged them to rise to the occasion.

“You are Enyimba, the People's Elephant and the biggest club in the land. You must always play like champions,” Kanu told the players.

The former Arsenal, Inter Milan and Ajax forward urged the team to approach the game with courage and belief, insisting they have the quality to secure a positive result.

Kanu also referenced Warri Wolves’ earlier victory in Aba and challenged the team to respond with a strong performance in Ozoro.

“If they could come to Aba and get a win, then you can also come here and do the same. Believe in yourselves and fight for the badge,” he added.

The chairman further urged the players to maintain focus and increase their intensity as the club pushes to climb higher in the league standings.

Enyimba will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Warri Wolves on Sunday at the Southern Delta University Stadium.
