Abia Warriors captain, Augustine Njoku, will miss Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League clash against Shooting Stars due to a hamstring injury sustained in their recent match against Katsina United.
Njoku, alongside teammate Prince Okorie, has been ruled out of the encounter scheduled for April 27, 2025, at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
However, Abia Warriors received a boost with goalkeeper Nmecha Johnson returning from injury as they continue their push for a promotion ticket.
After 34 matches, Abia Warriors sit 4th on the NPFL table with 53 points, while Shooting Stars are 9th with 48 points.
Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
