Ben Akwuegbu FC returned to winning form in the 2025 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) season with a 2-0 win over Plateau Jets at the Jos Centre.
The team, owned by former Super Eagles forward Ben Akwuegbu, secured all three points in a tightly contested encounter, marking their first win since Match Day Two.
Stephen Gyan opened the scoring in the first half, finishing off a well-placed assist from Dayo Ojulari. Gyan sealed the win in the 67th minute, tapping in his second goal after Plateau Jets' goalkeeper failed to handle a powerful shot from Onoja Godwin.
The result boosts Ben Akwuegbu FC’s position in the NLO standings as they aim to build momentum in the competition.
