Nigeria’s Flying Eagles were forced to a drab 0-0 draw by Morocco in their second Group B match of the CAF U20 Cup of Nations on Sunday in Cairo.
The seven-time champions created few chances, with Divine Oliseh's first-half effort standing out as their only real opportunity. The result leaves Nigeria with four points from two matches and needing a win over Kenya on Wednesday to secure a quarterfinal spot.
Morocco also have four points but sit atop the group, having scored more goals — including a thrilling 3-2 win over Kenya in their opening match.
Elsewhere in the group, Tunisia bounced back from their opening loss to Nigeria with a 3-1 win over Kenya earlier on Sunday. The result lifts Tunisia to third place with three points, while Kenya’s Rising Stars remain bottom without a point.
Group B wraps up on Wednesday, with Nigeria facing Kenya and Morocco taking on Tunisia.
