Remo Stars have announced plans for a grand victory parade on Friday, May 16, 2025, in celebration of their historic league triumph — the club’s first-ever top-flight title.
The club revealed the details in a statement on Tuesday, highlighting the parade as a show of appreciation to fans, media, and the Remo community for their unwavering support throughout the 2024/25 season.
“We have won games, drawn some, and lost others, but your support has been unwavering,” the club said.
The victory parade will begin at 9 AM from Our Saviour’s Anglican Church at Aiyepe Junction, near the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. From there, the convoy will head to Sagamu, passing the Gateway International Stadium, a former home of the club.
The route continues through Isale Oko and the Akarigbo Palace, then to Ita Oba, Ijoku Road, and Remo Secondary School. It proceeds along Sagamu-Iperu Road, connects with the Gateway Airport link, and heads to Ilishan Roundabout. The final stretch crosses the Sagamu-Benin Expressway, returning to Ikenne via Obafemi Awolowo Avenue and concluding at the Remo Stars Stadium.
Thousands of fans are expected to line the route in celebration of the club’s milestone achievement. The club has assured that adequate security will be in place to ensure a peaceful and festive atmosphere.
The event is poised to be a landmark in Nigerian football, as Remo Stars celebrate a season of pride, unity, and sporting excellence.
