Stanley Nwabali to Lay Parents to Rest on June 6th and 7th



Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali will lay his late parents, Chief Godpower Onyekamu Nwabali and Mrs. Grace Onyebuchibeya Nwabali, to rest on June 6th and 7th, 2025, in Okwuzi, Egbema, Rivers State.

According to the burial schedule, a service of songs will be held on Thursday, June 5th at 5 p.m. by The Redeemed Christian Church of God at the family's residence in Osafu Lane, Okwuzi Egbema.



On Friday, June 6th, the body of Mrs. Grace Nwabali will depart Gbeye Hospital Mortuary Omoku to her father's compound, then proceed to her husband's residence where she will lie in state.

Chief Godpower Nwabali’s final rites will follow on Saturday, June 7th. His body will be received by the Okwuzi Council of Chiefs at 10 a.m., lie in state at his residence, and be interred shortly after. A reception for guests will be held at CPS Okwuzi Egbema.

In a heartfelt post on X, Nwabali wrote:

“About time to put my dad and mom to rest. Something I never imagined doing so soon at this point in my life. Difficult to believe I will never see you again. Different kind of pain I never wish for my enemy. 6th and 7th of June 2025.”

Chief Nwabali was 72 years old, while his wife Grace was 63.
