Super Eagles and Remo Stars striker, Sikiru Alimi, has received the sum of ₦1.5 million owed to him by his former club, Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan.
According to Nigeria Football News, the payment was confirmed by the player's legal representative, Ogbemudia Endurance Iseri, who disclosed that the amount covered unpaid salaries during Alimi’s time at the club in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The settlement came after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Players Status and Arbitration Committee ruled in Alimi’s favour, mandating 3SC to clear the outstanding debt.
