Super Eagles B Head Coach, Eric Chelle, has released a provisional list of 35 home-based players ahead of the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will take place across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda next month.
The list includes captain Junior Harrison Nduka, Papa Mustapha Daniel and striker Anas Yusuf. First-choice goalkeeper Henry Ani is among the five goalkeepers invited, alongside defenders such as Waliu Ojetoye, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, and Mohammed Kabiru. Key midfielders Saviour Isaac and Haddi Haruna also make the cut, with forwards like Sunday Megwo, Adamu Abubakar and Godwin Obaje completing the core.
Nigeria, runners-up in 2018, have been drawn in Group D alongside defending champions Senegal, Sudan and Congo. The Super Eagles B will open their campaign with two group matches against Senegal and Sudan at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar, before facing Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
All invited players are to report to camp at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, on Monday, 7th July. Players are expected to arrive with their international passports and current club licences.
