Rangers International have completed the signing of highly-rated teenage winger Eni Egon Daniel from Abakaliki FC, as part of their preparations for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The eight-time league champions confirmed the deal over the weekend following a contract signing ceremony at the club’s corporate office in Enugu.
Daniel, who hails from Cross River State, expressed delight at joining the Flying Antelopes, describing it as a dream come true.
“Rangers is a very big club and the dream of every footballer is to get the opportunity to defend the badge of this great club,” said the winger. “I hope to make my positive contribution towards helping the team achieve its set targets this season.”
The youngster gained national attention with his outstanding performances during Abakaliki FC’s impressive run in the 2025 President Federation Cup. Renowned for his versatility and pace, Daniel is capable of operating effectively on either flank.
Head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has been actively reinforcing the squad ahead of the new campaign, and Daniel’s arrival is seen as a key addition to bolster the club’s attacking options.
