El-Kanemi Warriors FC have officially unveiled the return of former midfielder Daddy Abdulrahman, popularly known as Dadin Mama, at their Colonel Abdulmumin Aminu Camp in Maiduguri.
The announcement was made on Sunday by the club’s chairman, Malam Ibrahim Mainu Mustapha, who expressed his satisfaction at having the player back in the squad. He said, “Alhamdulillah, we are glad to have Daddy back. He contributed immensely to the team before his departure to Shooting Stars of Ibadan. El-Kanemi Warriors FC is his home — welcome back.”
Speaking during the unveiling, Abdulrahman expressed his gratitude to the club’s leadership for the warm reception. “I sincerely appreciate the Chairman and the board members for the love and concern they've shown me. I’m here to give my all to El-Kanemi Warriors FC. I’m excited to be part of the transformation happening in this great club,” he said.
The returning midfielder also sent a message to the club’s supporters: “To all El-Kanemi Warriors FC fans worldwide, in sha Allah, we are going to make you proud.”
Abdulrahman's return is expected to bolster the squad led by head coach Kabiru Suleiman Dogo as they continue preparations for the new season.
