As part of preparations for the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, the Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Hon. Taiwo Lekan-Salami, has paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Football Association Chairman, Oba James Adeniran.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, focused on strengthening collaboration between the club and the state FA. Welcoming the delegation, FA Secretary Kehinde Ojelowo introduced the executives and outlined the association’s structure and responsibilities.
Oba Adeniran praised the 3SC Chairman’s proactive approach and called for unity among football stakeholders. He urged collective support for the Oluyole Warriors in the coming season, stressing that success can only be achieved through cooperation.
Discussions covered matchday operations, including security, logistics, medical support, stewards, and pre-match coordination. The FA reaffirmed its oversight role and encouraged continued synergy with the club.
In his remarks, Hon. Lekan-Salami highlighted ongoing initiatives such as the harmonisation of supporters’ groups, improvements to water supply and stadium maintenance, provision of accommodation and logistics for match officials, and a scheduled dry-run test on Saturday. He also announced the creation of a WhatsApp group for matchday communication and assured that media accreditation will address previous access challenges.
Both chairmen pledged sustained cooperation as Shooting Stars prepare to launch their NPFL26 campaign, with a shared focus on operational excellence and fan satisfaction.
