Abia State Governor, Dr Alex C. Otti, has praised Enyimba International Football Club following their thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) victory over Bendel Insurance in Aba.
The People’s Elephant came from behind twice to claim all three points, a result that lifted them to the top of the NPFL table. Governor Otti, who was in attendance, described the encounter as a true test of resilience and character.
At halftime, the Governor visited the team in the dressing room to encourage the players. He commended their determination and lauded the remarkable fightback that eventually secured the win.
Governor Otti also expressed gratitude to the fans for their massive turnout and unwavering support, which he said created an electrifying atmosphere at the stadium. He further applauded Bendel Insurance for their spirited display and sportsmanship.
In addition, he acknowledged the contributions of Enyimba’s coaching staff, the club’s board, and Chairman Kanu Nwankwo for their leadership and dedication to success.
According to him, Enyimba’s display reflected the true “can-do” spirit of the people, proving that with unity and belief, greatness is always attainable.
