NPFL Cautions Clubs Against Unsanctioned Youth League Participation

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has warned its clubs against taking part in any youth competition not authorised by the league body.

This comes after reports that some clubs have been featuring in the N-Youth League, a tournament designed to showcase emerging football talents. The NPFL clarified that the N-Youth League has no official affiliation with it.

According to the league organisers, only the NPFL and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are empowered to organise youth football competitions in the country.

The NPFL also stressed that its clubs cannot compete in tournaments alongside lower-division and amateur sides, insisting such actions undermine the league’s structure.

It warned that clubs found violating this directive would face disciplinary sanctions.
