Warri Wolves Fined for Security Breach in NPFL Match Against Rangers

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has fined Warri Wolves N1 million for failing to provide adequate security during their Matchday 2 fixture against Enugu Rangers on Sunday.

According to the NPFL, the breach of its Framework and Rules led to a delay in the scheduled 4 pm kickoff of the game in Warri. The league body directed the club to establish an effective matchday security plan and submit the details to the NPFL board within seven working days.

Warri Wolves have also been granted a 48-hour window from the date of notice to appeal the sanction.
