Zubairu Confident Flying Eagles Will Be Ready for World Cup Despite Tactical Hiccups

With the FIFA U-20 World Cup set to begin on 17 September, Flying Eagles head coach  Aliyu Zubairu has acknowledged that his players are still struggling to fully adapt to his tactical system.

Despite the challenge, Zubairu expressed confidence that the team will be ready before their planned friendly matches. The squad has not yet reached full strength, as key foreign-based players such as Daga, Hafiz, and Suleiman Sanni are still expected to join the camp.

The camp currently boasts a blend of talent drawn from WAFU, AFCON, the domestic league, and overseas clubs. While tactical adaptation has been a hurdle, several players have impressed with strong performances, enabling the technical crew to make important selection decisions ahead of the tournament.
