Pillars Suspend Technical Adviser and Chief Coach After Poor Run

Kano Pillars have announced the suspension of their Technical Adviser, Ogenyi Evans, and Chief Coach, Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro, with immediate effect following a disappointing start to the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The club’s management confirmed the decision in an official statement, citing the team’s underwhelming results as the reason for the action. Pillars have managed only two wins, two draws, and four losses in their opening eight matches.

In the interim, former club captain and Assistant Coach, Gambo Muhammad, will take charge of the team alongside goalkeeping coach, Suleiman Shuaibu. They will be supported by Coach Garzali Muhammad (Kusa) from the Junior Pillars, who will serve in an ad-hoc capacity until further directives are issued.

The club expressed appreciation to its supporters for their patience and assured them of ongoing efforts to improve the team’s performance.
