Enyimba FC have confirmed the appointment of Crown FC manager Deji Ayeni as their new head coach, with the experienced tactician resuming duties today in Aba.
Ayeni will lead the former champions into Sunday’s crucial home clash against Rangers, a fixture that could shape the club's immediate future as they seek stability after a difficult spell.
The Ilesa-born coach arrives with solid top-flight credentials, having previously impressed during his stints with Sunshine Stars and Akwa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League. He was unveiled by Crown FC on 28 August 2024 with the mandate to secure promotion from the Nigeria National League.
Despite that assignment, Ayeni has now been handed a bigger challenge at Enyimba, where expectations remain high. His immediate task will be to steady the team and deliver a positive result on Sunday.
