Wikki Tourists head coach Abdu Maikaba has described his side’s 3–0 defeat to Bendel Insurance as their worst performance of the season, conceding that the home team fully deserved the victory.
The Bauchi side endured a difficult night in Benin on Saturday on NPFL26 Matchday 15. Insurance opened the scoring in the 16th minute and carried their advantage into the break. The second half proved even tougher for Wikki Tourists as the hosts added two quick goals to secure a comfortable win.
Maikaba admitted that lapses in concentration contributed to the defeat and stated that the better team won on the day.
Wikki Tourists will now attempt to recover quickly as they prepare to host Ikorodu City on Matchday 16, hoping for a positive response in front of their supporters.
