Nigerian forward Shola Adelani has completed a transfer to Bulgarian top-flight club Botev Plovdiv, marking the first European move of his professional career.
Adelani joins the Canaries after an impressive 2024–2025 season with Ikorodu City, where his performances attracted attention from clubs outside Africa. His switch to Bulgaria represents a significant step in his development and offers him the opportunity to test himself in a new football environment.
The deal was finalised through Spero Agency under the management of Sir Chimezie Emenike. Adelani is now set to link up with his new teammates as he begins a fresh chapter in Plovdiv.
