ABS Ilorin FC striker Jamiu Sa’ad says he is focused on scoring more goals as the club continues its push for promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Sa’ad has been one of the standout performers in the Nigeria National League this season with four goals in four matches. His performances have earned him two Man of the Match awards and the ABS Player of the Month for November, underlining his status as one of the league’s most dangerous forwards.
Speaking to the club media ahead of Thursday’s NNL Matchday Five fixture against City FC of Abuja at the FIFA Goal Project, Sa’ad said he is determined to maintain his form.
“I am grateful for the goals so far, but I want to score more,” he said. “My focus is to stay consistent and keep delivering for the team every game.”
Sa’ad stressed that while he has an eye on the golden boot, helping ABS secure promotion remains his main objective.
“Our main target this season is to promote to the NPFL. That is the dream for everyone at the club, and I am ready to give everything to help us achieve it,” he said.
“Every striker wants the golden boot, and I am working towards it. But what matters most is seeing ABS back in the NPFL. If I keep scoring and the team keeps winning, then it is a win-win for all of us.”
Looking ahead to the clash with City FC, Sa’ad acknowledged the challenge but expressed confidence in ABS Ilorin FC’s preparation.
“City FC are strong at home, but we are ready for the battle. I hope to continue my form and help us get a positive result in Abuja,” he said.
ABS will look to their in-form striker once again as they aim to strengthen their promotion bid.
