Musa Praises Team Spirit After El-Kanemi Warriors Edge Bayelsa United

El-Kanemi Warriors captain Zayyad Musa has celebrated his side’s hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Bayelsa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday.

The Borno-based club secured the win on Sunday at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, with Sadiq Mohammed scoring the decisive goal to seal all three points.

Musa expressed gratitude after the match, praising both the result and the team’s discipline throughout the encounter.

“I thank Almighty Allah for the victory and for an injury-free game,” Musa said in a chat with the club’s media.

The skipper revealed that the squad travelled with confidence and belief, insisting the outcome did not come as a surprise.

“I said before the game we were going to win, and Alhamdulillah, we achieved that with a lone goal,” he added.

Musa also acknowledged the support of the club’s fans, despite their absence at the stadium.

“I wish our fans were here to celebrate with us, but I know they are happy wherever they are. Thank you all for the support,” he said.

The victory marked El-Kanemi Warriors’ first away win of the season and lifted the team to 11th place on the league table with 25 points, boosting their confidence ahead of the next round of fixtures.
