The Nigeria National League has expressed strong displeasure over incidents that occurred during the league fixture between Gombe United FC and Jigawa Golden Stars.
The match was played on December 21, 2025, at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe.
Danlami Alanana, Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, said the league was dismayed by reports from the encounter, describing the situation at the stadium as unacceptable and contrary to the values and regulations guiding the competition.
He confirmed that the league would conduct a thorough investigation into the match and all related incidents, stressing that appropriate decisions would be taken in line with established rules and disciplinary procedures.
Alanana reiterated the NNL’s commitment to fair play, safety and professionalism across all fixtures, warning that any actions capable of undermining the integrity of the league would not be tolerated.
