AS Otoho d’Oyo delivered a devastating first-half display to crush CR Belouizdad 4-1 in a dominant CAF Confederation Cup Group C encounter on Saturday.
The Congolese side surged ahead through Jacques Bowamba, Bandiougou Diallo and Gosim Duvan, who struck in the 29th minute to complete a relentless attacking burst before the interval. Dion Ravelli added a composed fourth on 65 minutes to seal the home side’s commanding performance.
Otoho’s front line set the tone early, overwhelming the Algerian visitors with pace, direct running and clever movement that repeatedly exposed the back line. Belouizdad struggled to cope with the intensity as Otoho created and converted clear chances.
Goalkeeper Aboubacar Doumbia ensured the advantage remained intact, producing two strong saves early in the second half before Ravelli’s clinical finish widened the margin.
Abderrahmane Meziane pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 81st minute, but Otoho’s defence stayed compact and won key aerial duels to close out the victory.
The result lifts Otoho to the top of Group C on goal difference and leaves Belouizdad under immediate pressure ahead of their next match on the road.
