All Eyes on Marrakech as Chelle Sets Agenda for Algeria Clash

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has urged his players to maintain total focus on their immediate task as Nigeria prepare to face Algeria in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles will confront the Desert Foxes on Saturday evening in Marrakech, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.

Nigeria booked their last-eight spot with a victory over Mozambique, while Algeria edged past DR Congo to secure their own qualification.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Chelle stressed the importance of discipline, preparation and concentration, insisting that all distractions must be put aside until after the game.

“I prefer to remain focused now on Marrakech, and there is a game to play, and after the game we can think about our accommodation,” Chelle said, as quoted by Yahoo Sports.

“The story starts in Marrakech, so we have to stay focused on Marrakech, training sessions, and the next game.”

The Super Eagles’ clash with Algeria is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm Nigerian time.
