Nasarawa United vs Kano Pillars to Be Played Behind Closed Doors

Nasarawa United have confirmed that their Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 20 fixture against Kano Pillars will be played behind closed doors.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the club announced that the encounter, scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Lafia City Stadium, will not be open to fans.

The decision is due to ongoing repair works at parts of the stadium, which the club said could affect the movement of people and vehicles within the facility.

As a result, access to the stadium will be restricted to officials and management members of both clubs, as well as accredited media personnel. The club added that all authorised persons must arrive early, as security at the stadium gates will be strict.

Nasarawa United apologised to supporters for the inconvenience and acknowledged the passion of fans who regularly turn out to support the team.

The club also confirmed that contractors handling the repairs have assured management that work will be completed before the next home fixture.
