Egyptian giants Al Ahly will face Tunisian heavyweights Espérance Sportive de Tunis in a standout North African quarter-final of the CAF Champions League 2025/26 season.
The draw, conducted in Cairo on Tuesday, mapped out the route to the final for the eight remaining sides and delivered a series of high-profile ties.
Record 12-time champions Al Ahly will travel to Tunisia for the first leg before hosting the return fixture in Cairo.
Defending champions Pyramids FC will begin their defence away from home against Moroccan side AS FAR.
Last season’s runners-up Mamelodi Sundowns will host Stade Malien in the first leg, while RS Berkane welcome Sudan’s Al Hilal in their opening encounter.
The quarter-final first legs are scheduled for 13 to 15 March, with the return fixtures set for 20 to 22 March.
Semi-final Path Confirmed
The draw also determined the semi-final pairings.
The winner between Esperance and Al Ahly will host the first leg of their semi-final against the winner of Mamelodi Sundowns and Stade Malien.
In the other semi-final, the winner of AS FAR and Pyramids FC will be at home first against the winner of RS Berkane and Al Hilal.
The semi-final matches will take place from 10 to 12 April for the first legs and 17 to 19 April for the second legs.
The finalist emerging from the first semi-final will host the first leg of the final on 15 May, with the decisive return leg scheduled for 24 May.
