Eight clubs have secured qualification for the quarter-finals of the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League following the conclusion of the group stage on Sunday night.
The competition’s four groups featured four teams each, with the top two advancing to the knockout rounds. As the dust settled, a mix of established continental powers and surprise packages confirmed their places in the last eight.
Group A: Pyramids FC in control, Renaissance Berkane through
Pyramids FC finished top of Group A with 16 points from six matches, recording five wins and one draw. The defending champions scored 14 goals and conceded just twice in a dominant display.
Renaissance Berkane claimed second place on 10 points, finishing ahead of Power Dynamos, while Rivers United ended bottom with one point.
Group B: Al Ahly set the pace
Al Ahly topped Group B with 10 points, remaining unbeaten with two wins and four draws. The Cairo side conceded only three goals in six matches.
FAR Rabat secured second place with nine points, narrowly ahead of Young Africans.
Group C: Al Hilal Omdurman and Mamelodi Sundowns advance
Al Hilal Omdurman confirmed top spot in Group C with 11 points after a crucial final-day victory. They scored nine goals and conceded seven.
Mamelodi Sundowns finished second with nine points, edging out MC Alger to book their place in the quarter-finals.
Group D: Stade Malien make history, Esperance Sportive de Tunis qualify
Stade Malien emerged as Group D winners with 11 points, conceding only twice in six matches. It marks the first time the Malian side have reached the knockout stage of the competition.
Esperance Sportive de Tunis sealed the second qualifying spot with nine points, finishing ahead of Petro Atletico and Simba.
With the group stage complete, attention now turns to the quarter-final draw, which will determine the knockout pairings as Africa’s elite clubs battle for continental glory.
