Saheed Olaniyi has dedicated his Man of the Match award to his teammates and Ambassador Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki after inspiring Kwara United to an important Nigeria Premier Football League victory over Warri Wolves.
The forward scored twice as the Harmony Boys secured a much-needed win, ending a three-game winless streak and returning the Ilorin-based side to winning ways in the NPFL campaign.
Olaniyi’s brace proved decisive in a match that offered Kwara United a timely morale boost as they continue their push for consistency in the remaining fixtures of the season.
Speaking after the game, Olaniyi described the result as a major motivation for the squad going forward.
“Getting back to winning ways after three games without a victory is a big motivation for us as a team,” he told Kwara United media. “This win will boost our confidence as we continue the campaign.”
The former Warri Wolves player also expressed satisfaction at finding the net against his old club during a crucial stage of the season.
“Scoring against my former club at this critical period is good for me and for the team. It is an encouragement for more games to come,” Olaniyi added.
The victory strengthens Kwara United’s position in the league as they look to build momentum and maintain their upward push in the NPFL.
