Kano Pillars have officially unveiled Daniel Ogunmodede as the club's new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The unveiling ceremony took place at the club's secretariat in the presence of Chairman, Alhaji Ahmad Musbahu Garo, marking the beginning of Ogunmodede's tenure with the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions.
The highly-rated coach, widely known as "Ijaball", arrives with a reputation as one of Nigeria's top tacticians and is expected to lead the Sai Masu Gida into a new era as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Speaking after his unveiling, Ogunmodede outlined his ambitions for the club, saying: “My biggest challenge is to win the league with Kano Pillars or at least get a continental ticket and Ijaball is my style of play.”
In a statement, Kano Pillars described Ogunmodede as “a proven tactician with a winning mentality” and expressed confidence in his ability to guide the club towards success in the 2026/27 season.
The club also welcomed the coach to the Kano Pillars family, signalling optimism for the future as preparations for the new NPFL season gather momentum.
