CAF Welcomes Flying Eagles to 2025 U-20 AFCON in Egypt



The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially welcomed Nigeria’s Flying Eagles to the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The team was received by CAF officials on Monday at the Jewel Sports City Hotel in Cairo, where players and coaches were briefed on tournament rules and regulations. They have since moved to their official base at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cairo.

Nigeria will open their Group B campaign against Tunisia on Thursday at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo. Kick-off is set for 4 p.m. Nigerian time.

Coach Aliyu Zubairu’s squad is focused on making a strong start and mounting a serious challenge for the title.
