ABIA - As Muslims across the globe observe Eid El Kabir, Enyimba FC Chairman, Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo, has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslim faithful in Abia State, Nigeria, and beyond, emphasizing the values of love, sacrifice, and unity.
In a message released through Enyimba Media, the former Super Eagles captain urged Nigerians to reflect on the true meaning of the season, drawing inspiration from the story of Prophet Ibrahim. Kanu highlighted the importance of faith, forgiveness, and compassion during the sacred celebration.
“This holy season reminds us of the immense power of faith, sacrifice and obedience to the Almighty. As we celebrate Eid, let us share love, forgive one another, and uplift the less privileged. That is the true spirit of this festival,” he said.
“Let us also pray fervently for peace and progress, especially in our dear Abia State and our great nation, Nigeria.”
Kanu also called on the Muslim community to remember Nigeria’s leaders in their prayers and to promote unity across all divides. He reaffirmed Enyimba FC’s commitment to fostering togetherness and progress both on and off the pitch.
The club urged fans and the wider football community to celebrate responsibly, embracing diversity and tolerance as key pillars of national strength.
“One People, One Club, One Dream,” the club echoed, reaffirming its inclusive spirit.
