Boboye Effect Clear as Bendel Insurance Rise to Sixth After El-kanemi Win

The Edo State Sports Commission has hailed the influence of Kennedy Boboye on Bendel Insurance’s resurgence in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Benin Arsenals extended their unbeaten run to nine matches after a dramatic 3-2 victory over El-kanemi Warriors on Sunday, a result that lifted the club to sixth position on the league table.

Chairman of the commission, Desmond Enabulele, praised the players for their composure, character and resilience after going behind early in the contest.

“To recover from an early setback and still find the courage to respond, dominate, and win speaks volumes about the winning mentality Coach Kennedy Boboye has instilled in this team,” Enabulele said in a statement released by the commission’s media team.

“This victory is not just about the three points; it is about belief, character, and the true Edo spirit of resilience.”

Boboye assumed responsibility at the Benin City club a few games into the season following the dismissal of Greg Ikhenoba. Since his arrival, Bendel Insurance have shown renewed confidence and consistency, emerging as one of the league’s most difficult sides to beat.
