El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser Kabiru Dogo has insisted his side will continue to push for a strong finish in the Nigeria Premier Football League following their narrow victory over Ikorodu City.
The Maiduguri-based club edged past their visitors 1-0 in a matchday 22 encounter on Sunday, with Muktar Ismail scoring the decisive goal one minute from time.
The win lifted El-Kanemi Warriors to ninth on the NPFL table with 31 points, strengthening their hopes of ending the season in a respectable position.
Dogo praised his players for their commitment and belief, stressing that the team will not ease off as the campaign progresses.
“We will keep fighting for the top. As you can see, the boys are playing as expected, and we want to continue with this winning streak,” he said.
El-Kanemi Warriors will now look to build on the result as they target further progress up the standings in the coming weeks.
