Nationwide League One side Grassrunners FC have appointed former Shooting Stars goalkeeper coach, John Dosu, as their new goalkeeping coach on a two-year deal.
The third division club, known for its focus on developing and exporting young talents to the global football market, confirmed Dosu’s arrival as part of efforts to strengthen their technical department ahead of upcoming campaigns.
Dosu is widely regarded as one of the finest goalkeeper trainers in the country, with a reputation built on developing shot-stoppers who have gone on to excel in the Nigeria Premier Football League and earn recognition with the Super Eagles.
Before joining Grassrunners FC, Dosu worked with Nigeria National League outfit Sporting Supreme, where he played a key role in improving the club’s goalkeeping unit.
At Grassrunners FC, he has been tasked with enhancing the performance of the club’s goalkeepers while contributing to the overall growth and long-term vision of the team.
As a player, Dosu enjoyed a rich career in the NPFL, turning out for clubs such as Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars, Nasarawa United, Akwa United and Shooting Stars, experience that is expected to benefit Grassrunners’ young squad.
