Shooting Stars SC Responds to NPFL Over Lekan Salami Stadium Concerns

Shooting Stars SC has responded officially to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) directive declaring the Lekan Salami Stadium unsuitable for hosting NPFL fixtures due to broadcast and television rights concerns.

The club assured supporters and stakeholders that the condition of the playing surface is being addressed seriously. Over recent weeks, the club has intensified pitch maintenance efforts, including grass treatment, levelling, and regular watering.

The club reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe and professional environment that honours its rich history in Nigerian football. Shooting Stars SC also pledged ongoing engagement with the NPFL to find lasting solutions, aiming to enable home fixtures to continue in Ibadan under suitable conditions.

The club expressed gratitude to fans for their patience and support as it works towards resolving the issue.
