Ghana Embassy Visits Injured Barau FC Player Following Violent Incident

The Ghana Embassy in Nigeria visited Barau FC player Nana Abraham on Wednesday after he was discharged from a private hospital in Kano. Abraham sustained a neck injury during a recent Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match.

The injury occurred during the NPFL fixture on Saturday at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, where Barau FC faced Katsina United. The match was marred by violence when supporters of the home team attacked Barau FC players, officials, and fans.

The Ghanaian delegation welcomed the news of Abraham’s discharge, highlighting the importance of football as a unifying sport that should never be a platform for violence.
